The Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies (CHA) has compiled, a Peacebuidling Directory of Sri Lanka , as part of its efforts to promote networking and collaboration among organisations working on peace-related activities under the programme on “Promotion of Reconciliation and Peacebuilding in Sri Lanka ,”

Envisaged as a quick reference guide, the directory provides information on peace efforts undertaken by local institutes and foreign donor community functioning in Sri Lanka . Information is categorized into four sections to include namely the civil society; government; donor organisations and also organisations that provide training to others. The objective of the directory is to disseminate information on the organisational profile; their activities; geographical location; area(s) of operation; their projects & priorities. Most importantly, the directory provides an opportunity to the local NGOs to highlight their needs to the international community in order to organise their work in an effective manner in the future, and also obtain help from donor organisations.
